Can I change my "main domain"?

CPanel accounts are built using a "main domain", which is used throughout the account  for various purposes even if the domain does not exist or is registered.

We have found that changing the main domain is possible but can cause instabilities within the account.

So to avoid instabilities within Shared Hosting accounts, We offer two options :

  1.  Completely delete the account and issue a "fresh" new account: This means that we will purge/delete/terminate completely your current account and the hosted data will be lost beyond any point of recovery after that we will issue a completely new account without any contents - but with the correct main domain.
  2. Keep the main domain, do not use it or even buy it at all - simply use the "DOMAIN" function inside CPanel through the button "Create a new domain" and use the domain you have active - this will mean that the added domain will be active and the main domain will not, this does not affect in any way the performance of your website or data in your account.

If you wish to change your main domain, and are aware of the data loss, please open a ticket and we will perform it for you.

We strongly advise you to go with the second option, since it is way easier and faster :)

Take care!
